Shit can get hectic on here, and when that's happening, and no one's getting on, or on at the time to help, it's infuriating. Not to mention you run into multiple different situations where you can't help without having some sort of power. The most we can do half the time is wait for someone to get on, and usually it's too late. I can't even begin to reference how many times i needed someone on, and the offender leaves the damn server before someone can even get on. I enjoy my time here, and if i can make the server a better place for the players, i'd have significantly more enjoyment. Why should you be accepted on the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences. I have way too much experience, i've put around 30 thousand hours in this game over multiple different steam accounts, played for years. And a good portion of that time was being in a staff position on hundreds of servers. But the biggest reason is i'm active on here man. I'm always poppin in for hours a day, usually at the times when no one else is on. My sleep schedule's fucked man, essentially makes me european. That's a good thing, i'm here when no one else is, that's valuable. I'll put the time and effort in, in any situation, without an issue. My guarantee for you is i won't be any less than excellent. What do you do? Figure out the reasoning based on any logs, from console to video, word of mouth is pretty useless. If i can't have evidence in the matter then i'll just settle it verbally. An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member? Tell him not to do that, console kill him. Warn if it happens more than once. I'd explain that rp defecting isn't a thing on here. You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this? Explain the reason he's in the wrong, if i need to, take it up with any higher-ups i can contact about the guy. But in that situation i'd be more inclined to kick if not ban them, depending on how severe they're throwing that shit around. I feel like a regular warning isn't really gonna help that situation. The dude's obviously trying to do some stupid shit, i should take him out of the server until he sees why that's a no no. A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do? Tell higher ups and ban the losers. Log everything with any video or screenshot evidence i can, and get any information about them from SteamID to IP, whatever i can collect to stop them from getting back in. You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.

Most of your questions seem very reasonable, the only one I would personally edit is the SU/MACE CO infiltrating question. You are not incorrect that what they are doing is definitely wrong (and stupid) but your approach made me a bit skeptical. There is a difference between retaliating a staff ruling and threatening to demote your IC Character. A ban wouldn't be necessary unless the CO physically demotes your character (maybe if you were a MACE or SU). In this situation, it is better to just warn the CO about breaking infiltrating rules (since they are a CO and should know better) and take the situation to their higher ups. Other than that, great app, hope to see you accepted!

Was incredibly mature, level-headed and understanding when I mistakenly banned him. Such maturity is uncouth for what we know to be the typical attitude in gaming communities, so I’m very confident Lupit will act as a rational agent and learn quickly from his mistakes.
