If you toss a grenade into a group of civilians, would you tell the admin at the sit that "it's already over, I stopped RDMing, there's no need to ban me"?
Same thing with really any offence on the server. Doesn't really matter if you stopped later on, you still said some real disgusting shit in ooc, in full view of the entire server for over fifteen minutes. Stopping after you got kicked from the server by a developer that should not have had to kick you from the server to make you stop isn't exactly a mitigating factor here.
It's a gmod server, there are gonna be kids on it. Not sure why you decided that keeping that conversation going for that long was a good idea.
As for a potential reduction, in all honesty I believe your original punishment was lenient. A longer ban certainly would've been appropriate in this situation.
