Previous Punishments?

Two warns in total, one recently for FailRP via dance shooting, and one from August of last year for RDM.

What's your reason for becoming Gamemaster?

A few reasons. Lately, I've seen events becoming less and less common, and those that do happen can be a bit... lackluster at times. I'm not calling these events bad by any means, they just seem to have... less of an impact on the players when it comes to engagement; they don't seem to be enjoying them as much. As well as that, I've just wanted to become a Gamemaster for a while simply for the fun of it, as I've always loved having an outlet for my creativity!

Have you ever been Event Staff or anything similar on other servers? If so please list below.

Unfortunately, no.

Explain how you take criticism from other people, from constructive to border-line harassment.

Criticism is a very important thing, in my opinion. I'll always try to take consideration in consideration, no matter how harsh. Of course, if it's bordering on harassment I will politely ask that the person stop, even if I do take that criticism into consideration.

A Combine CmD has openly expressed their distaste for an event you're doing at that moment. It has gotten to the point where he is actively disrupting your event. What is your course of action?

At first I'll politely ask that he stop the disruptions, giving him a verbal warning that if such disruptions continue, staff will intervene. If he continues, allow staff to handle the situation. I'll also consider the situation and use it as a way to help prevent the same thing from happening in the future!

A Resistance Fighter starts PMing you with some questions about a recent event you've done. However, because you were AFK, he has started harassing you. What is your course of action?

I'll apologize for my AFK status and answer any questions he has, though I'll politely request that he doesn't attempt harassment like this in the future.

What are GM's permissions both inside and outside of events?

During events, GMs have the ability to give out various items; weapons, armor/HP, vehicles, various tools while also having the ability to issue event debriefs and orders.

Outside of events they're a bit more limited, though they are able to take a limited amount of tickets, primarily requests for ulift vehicles, /me rolls and similar things.

You are hosting an important Post-Event DB and all of a sudden, the CO's ask you to leave so they can do their DB and exclude yours. What is your course of action?

I politely inform them that I'm currently holding an event DB, and they'll be able to hold their own debrief afterwards. Though I will attempt to speed up my own DB a bit if necessary.

A Gamemaster who said he would be assisting you in an event later on today hasn't shown up and now the event is running behind schedule. What should you do?

First I'd try to find another available GM to fill in the slot, if there are any available. If no other GMs are capable or available I'll see if it's possible to perform the event by myself; if not I would postpone/cancel the event, whichever is necessary.

After getting a green light on an event, you notice there are 3 vehicles deployed at once. It is causing a little lag, what is your course of action?

I'll request that the vehicles be undeployed, though if this request is refused and or not possible to fulfill, I'll wait until the vehicles despawn naturally, or until they're destroyed to continue.

What's the process GM's take before making events, from start to finish. (This is what YOU think)

The first step is the start of an idea, getting the skeleton of an event together; a basic framework that you can tweak and mess around with to your liking. Basic premises, players and GMs needed, the basic essentials.

Afterwards you can start working on finer details; balancing, equipment needed, location for the event and whatnot.

You get these ideas greenlighted and start to set everything up; grabbing players to fill in roles if needed, building whatever's needed at the chosen location and in general getting things ready!

A Resistance Captain is openly criticizing your event when he isn't in the event itself. It has gotten to the point where he is interrupting your important adverts relating to the event. What should you do?

If it's actively keeping people from seeing advertisements or disrupting the event in anyway, I'll first politely ask him to stop even while taking the criticism in mind. If he refuses to stop, I'll gather evidence of the disruptions and hand the situation over to staff as soon as possible.

How often do you think GM's should host events?

Ideally, events should be held atleast once a week, though it's my opinion that GMs shouldn't be given any sort've deadlines, mandatory or not; inspiration is a fickle thing that can't exactly be forced, and it's better to have high quality events less often then having more sloppy events.

List three events that you might do if you get accepted (DETAILED AND BE ORIGINAL) [Campaigans and RP Situations are EXCLUDED]

Unexpected Assistance

Something seems to have emboldened the citizens of this city! They've taken up arms in support of their respective groups, offering aid in any way they can! Partisans and loyalists have acquired munitions through suspicious means, fighting their enemies in the name of their groups!

6-8 citizens will be required for this event, 3-4 being set as partisans and 3-4 being set as loyalists. Each will be given a low-grade weapon of their choice; weaponry like Skorpions, Mac-10's, 1911's, etc, as well as a small chunk of armor! If any rebel/combine manages to kill a partisan/loyalist, they'll be able to salvage armor or resources from the bodies! These citizens will be given multiple lives, and the group that lives the longest will be given a 'last breath' of sorts in the form of a boss character, given mid-high tier weaponry and a moderate amount of HP/Armor.

Is That OSHA Approved?

It seems that OSHA inspectors are in the city today, and they're fully expecting the rebel and combine forces to give a tour of their respective bases! As with a lot of things in the world of CvR though, not everything is as it seems! It seems these 'OSHA Inspectors' are anarchists in disguise, planning on stealing high-grade munitions from the rebel/combine forces!

While two GMs would be preferred for this event, it can still be managed by one. Two citizens per GM will be required, acting as assistants to the 'OSHA inspector.' The event will start with a DB for each side, informing them of the incoming inspectors with a suggestion that they get ready. The inspectors will arrive via truck, giving a full inspection of the base before leaving with the stolen munitions. These anarchists will drive to a hidden extraction point, setting up in a pre-built FOB while waiting for extraction. Rebels and Combine will be informed of this thievery, being given 15 minutes after being informed of the locations of these FOBs to kill the anarchists and take back the munitions.

The anarchists will have three designated roles; one offense, one defense and one support. All these roles will have a large amount of HP/Armor to make the retrieval difficult. The offense will be given the option between a high-grade AR or a shotgun, while being given a middling amount of bulk. The defense will be given his choice of an LMG with a mid-tier shield, with the highest amount of bulk in the group, and the support will be given an SMG, as well as a medkit/defib combo, while having the lowest HP/Armor amount in the group.

If rebels/combine manage to slay their respective anarchist squads in the alloted amount of time, they will be given armament rewards, their option of a gun, a boost to HP or a credit reward if applicable. If they fail to kill the anarchists in time, they will escape with the munitions.

Are Blackmarkets Offensive Now?

It seems a black market has managed to sneak it's way into the city, though the owner of this market seems a bit... loose in the head. His wares are various, to the point it's almost impossible to pin any one specific topic on what he sells. He also has a most peculiar way of selling these wares...

A more simple shop event with a small twist. Only one GM is required for this event, though 2-3 civilians may be grabbed to be used as security, if necessary. This shop will sell various items, from high-tier weaponry to low tier garbage; the twist is the fact that when you pay, you must roll the dice to see what you get. You can get a powerful LMG/Shield combo, or you can get the smelliest of Bugbaits, it's all up to the luck of the draw. /roll will be used, using increments of 5 to determine the tier of your reward; 1-5 being the worst outcome and 95-100 being the best.

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak staff information in gamemaster channels or otherwise. I will not abuse my powers in-game or otherwise. I must add [DEFN] to my steam username as soon as I get accepted.

Thanks! Though I'll be honest, those events aren't my greatest work; I've never done well coming up with events on the spot, lol.

Good answers and a good staff member, I’m sure you’d do well in the GM position.

(p.s you’re a cutie)

I'll give it a +1.

Knowing you slightly from in game, as well as the quality of your application, I can say: "pretty good".

I only have a couple comments on the events, Unexpected Assistance is a interesting concept, though the whole "scavanging" thing would probably be a bit more difficult to engineer. Either you or any assisting Staff/GMs would have to near constantly respond to tickets about looting. Other than that though, nice there.

OSHA Approved is another nice concept, though slightly strange. No particular issue with it other than that.

So yeah, +1.

I'll admit, Unexpected Assistance could be a bit hard to keep track of, but I intended to look out for the killfeed more then wait for tickets; either that or I'd just shadow the loyalists/partisans for the ease of it. I don't mind being kept busy with tickets!

When I first got to SGM I was gonna try and remove the whole stigma of GMs just doing "hahhaha give me credit ill give you eod gun or ar3" (for the most part it kinda worked). The events on the application may be a logistical nightmare, but I think with a little help and all of that ambition those could be some great events.

Plus I know Moonpie from shit kgb and he's been really fun to play with in and out of CvR.
