What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?

I want to help set up a gm integrated store system within Fighter and Heavy. (Stolen from FH lol!!!)
Also hopefully work on a new anarchist faction that is focused on something else that isn't just shooting everyone they see. (Incredible I know)

Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.

Nope

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.

Take the feedback into account to try and improve events and other things I do unless its completely unreasonable.

While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?

Try to continue on with the event on my own and try to get any other online GMs that are willing to help me to assist in the moment.

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?

Tell the funny sentinel man I fucked up the server and ask him not to ban me.

An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?

Whitelist them if no one else is online because it'd be rude.

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?

Tell them that they can't do it or it'd fuck the event up. Preventing disruption of the event is more important than the COs choice.

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?

Try to improv and add stuff for the side that isn't participating as an incentive, regardless of if it works talk to that CmD/Maj's Colonel or higher up and report their behaviour.

After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?

Tell the CO they will have to wait as the post-event debrief is still part of the event.

What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?

Outside of events: Taking tickets such as ENG crafting, helping with MP/Jury Enslavements, and other small actions
Inside of events: Anything relating to do with the event (such as giving weapons, stripping players and changing health) and other actions to help it such as spawning impromptu vehicles for the loosing side.

While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?

Ask the vehicle pilot's to undeploy politely, if they do not continue with the event despite the lag.

Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.

When coming up with an idea, talk to other people for their opinions on the event, test any ideas that i'm unsure would work or would be unbalanced and double check everything about the event before queuing it.

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.

1.  White Battalion members (yes its a battalion specific event, falling into what I previously said above in my reasons for wanting to join.) have to raid an abandoned resistance outpost, a map such as pripyat is preferred due to the large amount of empty space that I can use.
Getting other volunteers to stand in as unaligned scavengers raiding it for supplies who would be given basic weapons and equipment to mirror other classes.
The participants would have to raid and clear the outpost and search it for supplies and stock to sell in stores, after which they have to defend the area from a squad of combine while transporting the supplies back to resistance HQ safely.
Volunteers would be rewarded after with some credits or one-life items or equipment.
The area would be made an event area to stop non-participants from interfering.
Post event-DB would be held only for the participants to be granted their reward within the division.

2.  A server wide event where the Resistance must defend a small vortigaunt outpost that is manning a teleporter, periodically teleporting in supplies from different resistance cells and transporting players instantly to other parts of the map. (Giving player's weapons/equipment and bringing players to different area of the map respectively.)
The longer the resistance is able to hold the outpost, the vortigaunts are able to strengthen the teleporter which provides better rewards for the defenders.
The goal of the combine is to attack the outpost and either:
     1) On a small map, to hold the outpost and force the vortigaunts to give them the supplies from the teleporter
     2) On a large map, to capture and bring the vortigaunt(s) to combine HQ for instant rewards by enslaving them and forcing them to open a teleporter
This decision is made as having the outpost on a small map will make it far easier to reinforce and defend due to reduced travel times as it will most likely be closer to one team's spawn.
Post event DB is not necessary as rewards are handed out mid-event.

3.  A server wide event, multiple pre-war ammunition and weapon depots have been located by both sides.
Both team's goals is to go to these depots (situation on points for simplicity), ransack the place for items inside (that can be picked up by hand) and take them back to their HQ's debrief room.
For each item that a team has, their COs can decide to "spend" the boxes on rewards (listed on a Textscreen at the deposit point) after the base raid (described below) for them to use, such as vehicles, weapons and increases to health and armour.
The loosing side will then have an opportunity to base raid the loosing side in an attempt to steal supplies from their base and escape to increase their reward and lower the other side's. This will be fronted and ended by a pre and post event debrief (where the teams can then spend their supplies on rewards).

How often do you think GMs should host events?

Up to their discretion, they should be consistent but not forced out constantly as that leads to weak and unfun events.

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules.

+1 Personally don't know you well but you have a very good app. I love your event ideas they are somewhat unique and they seem very interesting/enjoyable. You answered the questions well but with the vehicles deployed when you are setting up an event you could also just wait for them to die or undeploy themselves then start the event. I hope to work with you soon enough, good luck!

Accepted!

Your application demonstrates positive knowledge of Gamemaster and it's inner workings, and is of good quality as well. Along with that, you're a well respected member of the community, and one that cares for the divisions they're apart of.
