List all (if any) previous punishments (Warns/Bans) 1 Verbal warning for killing a civilian while FLIR was active (back when FLIR would light up civilians)
What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster? I want to try and make CvR more enjoyable, and give it more action rather than just constantly going back and forth trying to cap the same points again and again.
Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions. No.
Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment. I would try my best to learn from both constructive criticism and borderline harassment. If all they were telling me that my event was bad I would try to find out what was bad, so I could try to make the next event I host better.
While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed? I would try and contact another GM to see if they, or any other GM was available, and I would delay the event by a bit. If no other GM is available to assist me I would cancel the event and try to find another day to host it.
While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react? I would tell the other GMs, and Sentinel that the server crashed and that it was likely my fault. After doing so I would explain what I was doing and accept any consequences that I would face.
An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do? I would see if I am able to give the Recruit his whitelist, and if I'm not able to, I would try to contact any admin through discord to try and get the recruit his whitelist.
While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react? I would explain to the CO that he cannot do that as it will heavily disturb the event, and if he still continued to try and blow the computer up, I would claim that it is impossible to blow it up due to heavy reinforcement.
While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation? I would try and see if any people from that CmD/MAJ's side would like to continue in the event, and try to find out what they don't like about the event. If there are still people willing to participate I would try my best to make it more in their favor so it's not an easy win for the opposing faction. If no one wants to participate I would just cancel the event.
After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react? I would tell the CO that they need to wait until after the event DB to host a normal DB, if they continue to insist on having a normal DB I would let them host it to avoid further disruption.
What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events? Model changing
Giving weapons
Building
Pills
Vehicle spawning
Material/Sub material editing
While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do? I would ask their CO's to tell them to undeploy to decrease the server lag.
Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them. I would try to think of a simple theme such as defectors, supplies, and then find a way to turn it into an event, like would the defectors need to stop somewhere, why does this matter to both factions, how does the event characters or stage interact with the players, after looking over the idea I would try and make sure that it was balanced for both sides, such as making the defectors have a large health pool and strong weapons, but asking them not to sprint so that the opposing side could catch up. Or having the objective in a spot that is equally as hard or easy to get to for both factions. After that I would try and see what other GMs think of it, unless they don't want to hear about it.
Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.
1. A group of 6 Combine Units have decided to defect, and have taken important supplies with them, they are first detected around the middle of the map, at the point that is farthest from the Resistance base (The Combine will only know they are somewhere near the center while the Resistance will know a more specific location), and the defectors will need to be escorted by Resistance forces to their base, while the Combine hunt them down. The Defectors will be given a large health pool and cannot sprint, this will help the Combine find where they are located at the moment, and will increase the worth of the Resistance escort. Due to the weight of the supplies the defectors have stolen they will need to bunker down at certain locations across the map that are not on points. They will be indicated by an orange flag overhead, and will be surrounded by ample cover, created in a way that both sides will be able to use them. They will need to hold each location for 1 minute before moving on. It will be considered a Rebel win if 3 or more make it back, it will only be a Combine win if 4 of the defectors have died.
2. A group of Combine Dropship carrying experimental equipment has been shot down by a Resistance Heavy. Some of the equipment is damaged, but there is still some that can be reclaimed. However, the equipment is volatile and must be moved quickly before it incinerates. Both sides do not get to know where the dropship crashed, only it's general direction from their base, such as North, East, West or South. Upon reaching the dropship they notice that it is sealed tight, and it needs a Tech, Engie, OVA FOXTROT or a MPF GRID to open it. In order to open it they will need to win a roll against a GM 3 times in a row. Up to 2 people can count as a roll, and the highest roll of the 2 will count as the opposing roll to the GMs. When they have finally managed to get the Dropship open, the GM will spawn in 5 boxes, they must be brought back to the Combine/Rebels spawn, and whoever has the most boxes win. They will have 30 minutes to complete the event
3. All the gunfire and explosions on the surface have angered the Antlions, and their hives are beginning to break through the ground. There are 3 major breaches that need to be removed ASAP. All the emerging breaches will be around the main points, but they will each have 1 Antlion Guard, and 6 Antlions guarding them. Once the Guards are taken care of the breaches need to be destroyed. The Hives can be destroyed by shooting at them, however BALLISTAs and HEAVYs will not be able to use rockets on them. GMs can choose to spawn more Antlions, but not Antlion Guards. The team that destroys 2 hives wins. No time limit
How often do you think GMs should host events? 3-4 times a month
Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules. Additionally, I will add [DEFN] to my Steam name. Yes.
Do you understand the basics of using ULX? List what you know. I have no experience with ULX
Neutral leaning more to +1, could use a little more detail near the start and a quick grammar check but otherwise everything else is good. I like the event ideas! Good luck!
Yay you edited good job plume, changing to +1 since more detail was added
Thet CMD/major part is kinda weak because the event does not stop on one guy disliking it so u need to kinda force him to still let people join the event over all its nice app i think +1 also the events are nice to
Didnt take the grammar part in consideration because u can still understand what he is saying
+1, your app is well written enough and the answers are good, and your events seem interesting.
however, for the second event it is generally a bad idea to have a major part of an event held up by a roll, as it is just random chance and will more likely than not just annoy both the players and yourself. otherwise good app
+1, a very active and engaged member of the community; and I've seen him consistently having positive and light-hearted interactions with other people.
