I've been in the community for a long time. Contribution is a great way to the help community and that is what I wish to do. My reason for becoming a GM is to provide fun events to the server. Its like being the host of the party, knowing everyone is having a great time. I will respond to people and hear them out. Events are a fun way to get people ready to action for something that doesn't usually happen, other than the usual RUSH E battle plan that always happens. It provides something new to the server that everyone gets involved in. Have you ever been Event Staff or anything similar on other servers? If so please list below. I am a staff member right now in CvR. Explain how you take criticism from other people, from constructive to border-line harassment.
If it is insults, I will ignore them but Criticism is good and is useful for improvement. I will use criticism to make better events. I would hear the person all they way through and listen to them. A Combine CmD has openly expressed their distaste for an event you're doing at that moment. It has gotten to the point where he is actively disrupting your event. What is your course of action?
Have him stop interrupting the event as he is ruining it for others. I will ask him why he doesn't like the event with reasons and improve upon that. I'll do my best to convince them to join the event as everyone else is playing it. A Resistance Fighter starts PMing you with some questions about a recent event you've done. However, because you were AFK, he has started harassing you. What is your course of action?
Say sorry for being AFK and answer the questions he has asked. I'll tell him to stop harassing me or else I'll ignore him. What are GM's permissions both inside and outside of events?
Gms can use their power as long as its for the events, but they can't use it outside of events especially to minge You are hosting an important Post-Event DB and all of a sudden, the CO's ask you to leave so they can do their DB and exclude yours. What is your course of action?
I'll host my pre event db after or ask for a little more time. A Gamemaster who said he would be assisting you in an event later on today hasn't shown up and now the event is running behind schedule. What should you do? I'll contact the gamemaster and if he doesn't show up I'll contact other gamemasters to replace him. If I don't have help I'll cancel it and reschedule. After getting a green light on an event, you notice there are 3 vehicles deployed at once. It is causing a little lag, what is your course of action?
I'll have the factions undeploy their vehicles and let them know that is to fix the lag. What's the process GM's take before making events, from start to finish. (This is what YOU think)
A GM gives an idea for an event. The GMs get together and create the idea/test it. They give their intake and set a date to initiate the event. They call for a vote and if the players want one, they setup the event and call a pre event db. A Resistance Captain is openly criticizing your event when he isn't in the event itself. It has gotten to the point where he is interrupting your important adverts relating to the event. What should you do? I will have him stop interrupting the event. A group of rebel soldiers lost their weapons and are trapped in a area after crashing. NPU have surrounded the area and are going to capture and trans humanize the rebel soldiers in the area. They will be dragged to a machine and turned into NPU with cuffs and proceed to continue the chase. The rebel soldiers will get time to hide and a time limit will be placed so the NPU gotta find those rebels in that amount of time. The rebels gotta go run around and not get captured and survive until the time limit. If the rebels win, the survivors get rewards, if the NPU win, the starting NPU(whoever the combine playing them are) get rewards. This event is a man hunt but HL2 style, NPU can be replaced with others, Its more suitable if I use NPU(cause zombies mean bringing people who die and it can get confusing. Its man hunt style HL2, its not bias.
Scavenger round. Rebels need to build a weapon to destroy combine tech, but the parts are missing around the map. The combine have to defend this parts and stop the rebels from obtaining each part. There will be 3 pieces that the rebels have to obtain. Once the rebels protect the area for a certain amount of time(or use a gravity gun) they can obtain the piece. They have a certain amount of time to obtain each piece of the weapon before they lose. 3 parts will be around the map, rebels and combine will know where they are.
Zombie escape. A group of Rebels/combine are running away from headcrabs that are coming out of headcrab canisters. There was a glitch in the system that caused the canisters to launch at a area and flood the area with headcrabs. The survivors have to solve certain puzzles within the area and shoot their way out to escape the headcrabs. The survivors could be eiter rebels are combine depending on vote. Puzzles include questions to parkour etc. Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak staff information in gamemaster channels or otherwise.
