What is your suggestion? A: Remove Acid Rain
How would this benefit the server?
If the server wishes to progress into an era of RP I believe one of the first changes should be this, Acid Rain is a detriment to the server as whenever it happens you either need a medkit for yourself, a medic right next to you, or to sit in a building bored until it's over. I have seen countless times and even done so myself, people get frustrated and angry when Acid Rain happens, when people play Anarch or Civilian they immediately have to either go AFK or hop off the job due to the fact you cant go anywhere or do anything outside, One suggestion someone else brought up that I thought might be an acceptable replacement is a light sandstorm, it still impairs people but doesn't outright kill them.
Edit: Another Idea is to Nerf it, instead of 3 damage make it 1-2 and allow players to heal fully instead of half health, it still presents a hazard but allows freedom of movement for time to time instead of for the entire duration.
Overall I believe Acid Rain needs to be removed as it actively pushes people away from the Citizen jobs which people play on to RP from time to time.
+1 not only is it just a pain to deal with it also just slows the flow of the Game down while its raining i do like the idea of a sandstorm or some over type of storm being added
Acid rain is a core mechanic in CvR
Without the Acid rain, there'd be no period where people have to either focus on indoor combat, or having medical personnel.
Outside of that very specific circumstance, Building classes are also encouraged to build platforms/Structures to help with this problem. Instead of min-maxing on the point.
It might be a controversial statement to make, but that is what I believe at this time.
- Edit -
For civilians/Anarchist. {Sometimes CWU}
So long as they obtain trusted training. It should be no issue.
Though, in the off chance that they happen to be acting alone, without help, and no perms to build-- It'd be already difficult enough to traverse the field. On top of that, there wouldn't be anything other than collecting and salvaging loot. {CWU exception}
I also forgot to mention that these can also get in to vehicles to negate the weather effects.

Acid rain is a core mechanic of PVP, and NOT CvR, since CvR is wanting to change and shift itself towards RP then some things need to be left behind in order to do so, one of which I believe should be Acid rain, it's a detriment to RP if you cant stand outside long enough to do it, all it does is make people angry and irritated especially now on some maps that are just open with buildings being sparse. Players should NOT have to get trusted training just to RP or even exist because of Acid rain, in my personal opinion saying that only the CWU are an exception to "anything other than collecting and salvaging loot" is a very negative mindset to have in a space that wants to transfer more to RP, the whole reason why people don't RP as of right now on those jobs is BECAUSE of people having that mindset along with the PvP only mindset, but with this change it would allow players more freedom to explore without their day getting ruined because the server wants to piss acid on em resulting in them leaving, getting off job and going back to PvP, or just sitting under a house for 10 minutes.
Edit: With capture points already being in some buildings Acid rain is not needed to force Indoor combat, also its a warzone people are already going to need medics so that should also not be a justification for there to be Acid rain.
The reason I'm giving this post a -1 is due to the fact that acid rain is and always has been a core aspect of the server.
If the server is going to turn more towards RP then acid rain would still make sense if you would read into the half-life lore. As mentioned above, acid rain is a core aspect for PvP and RP situations together, giving people the want to choose indoors combat or the chance for GRIDs and engineers to be even more useful for their faction via building a sky umbrella.
Whilst I believe acid rain should slightly be tweaked, like how it can disable cuffs as if you had been shot, I don't believe that it should be entirely removed from the server due to it's overall importance.
