What is your suggestion?
A: That the Reserves decrease be put on hold when server is on low pop, Similar to how point spawning is disabled after 40 people are on server

How would this benefit the server?
A: I believe it would allow people who play either later in the day/night to be able to experience or play on other maps or even be apart of full on fights, There has been two instances where I've gotten onto the server and The Combine are winning in Reverses by a landslide because people were online on server capping points while no one else was on, It would also help there be no push into any sides favour with maps like for example The server gets to low pop on Outercanals, Most of the server's community has gone to sleep or is busy then all of a sudden the server show's three people online and the map is on Forest Apocalypse or even Beta works or people start loading into the server in the afternoon or another similar time and a team already has the upperhand in Reserves causing it to be a overall victory for that team no matter how much gets pushed back, That's my two-sense on this.

So you think letting 1-2 guys decide what happens is a good idea? It's quite boring to push from your HQ map 3x in a row just so that it overnight can go back to your HQ map. There is no counterplay, it's forcing people to go on and just afk wow this ain't fun and it should just be fair.

There isn't a threshold I can realistically set it to. 10 is too low, as the problem still persists.
20 is too high, and is the average for about 8 hours of the day.

A threshold would realistically prevent any reserve drain for more than 3/4ths of the day

Which I'd rather just revert to the previous 2 maps at that point, because it becomes pointless

I wholeheartedly agree with Sentinel here. No point in handicapping the Combine for low pop activity.

Changing this would literally discourage low pop activity which would create a MASSIVE problem of noone wanting to get on and play the gamemode because "why bother we cant do anything"

The entire purpose is to keep people more invested for longer periods of the day.

If you don't want to do that, I'm not sure what to tell you.

GMOD servers rely on players being active, in exchange for the server continuing to exist. This server is no different, and if people want things to run well, people need to be active.

But what's the bigger downsides then? People not playing on low pop or people leaving cause it's the same map for the 15th time/people coming on just to see the map is lost anyway.

I legit came on now on low pop and it's 1v5 with like 2 Cross. You really think people would love to play like this?

It doesn't have to be low pop if more people join. Basic math.

Yes that's true, but those joining now for sure rebels will see the disadvantage and just get sniped constantly, so they log back off or go afk. I think about someone else their perspective, why would you want to keep playing after getting sniped by a cross 5 times when u never saw him. Yea u can wait on other people, but how long does that take? And then they leave and u repeat with the next person.
