Been encouraged to join staff after the recent push for COs to join the DEFN team. I feel like I'd be a better fit in staff rather than gamemaster as I have past experience as staff in other servers. I also feel like I've grown a good amount since the last staff app, feel more mature and feel like a better community member. Any staff who can vouch for you? My fellow WB staff members, Arti and Sanders especially have seen my personal development. An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do?
Nine times out of ten, it's a crossfire incident. If the MPF UNION says it was an accident, explain to the civillian that it was a simple accident.
In the event it's intentional, RDMx1 warning. Somebody had made a ticket saying they passed Sniper applications and that they need it’s whitelist, how would you proceed?
Best option is to simply ask any Outlanders COs that are currently on the server. If that isn't an option, check subdivision changes. An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member?
This is considered FailRP. Warn accordingly, consider further punishment depending on how disruptive this was. A ticket alleging spawn-camp has been made, and the offending party is a member of CROSS who was found inside rebel spawn borders, what is the correct course of action?
If the CROSS was simply in rebel base borders, ask if this was a simple scouting mission. If so, tell the accusing party that he is within the rules.
If the CROSS does anything that affects gameplay (where scouting turns to spying), warn accordingly and consider further punishment depending on the severity of disruption. You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this?
Proceed with the sit as necessary, as staff responsibilities trump any in-character responsibilities. Immediately notify Gold Battalion leadership and rebel leadership with evidence. A Grid has created a ball that he has encased himself in and is propelling himself forward using the gravity gun, is this breaking any rules?
Yes. building rules dictate that unrealistic creations (outside of some exceptions) are against the rules. Warn accordingly. A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do?
Immediately ban the group, grab Steam IDs and hand off the case to higher ranking staff members for permanent bans. Notify management of the threat to the server. You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.

Simply ask. Out of nowhere a random set of numbers resembling an IP has been typed by an NCO has been typed into OOC, what is the correct course of action?
Immediately bring them to a sit. If the IP is a generic private IP address (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x where x is greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 255) or a subnet mask (x.x.x.x where x = 0 or 255) verbally warn them of the potential severity of the offense. If this continues, take further action.
If the IP resembles anything such as a public address or IPv6 address, immediately ban and notify higher ranking staff and management for a permanent ban and potential security breach of players' IP addresses.

Shitty track record with warns yes but answers are solid and I don't think he exhibits behavior now that would be seriously concerning if he was staff.
I have some mixed feelings about this regarding the recent incident in the event DB. However you have appeared very mature as you have taken your time to apologise to me and letting me know you didn't mean to do that. I will stay neutral (+-0)

I immediately apologized and made it clear it was an accident in OOC and to other rebels. I offered to repay for any personal resources lost but nobody took me up. Since it was ruled as the van, it was considered a World kill and not attributed to me preventing any faction resource loss.
Antonio ruled it as an accident, thankfully. Dave (the gm running it) forgave me after I apologized.

For transparency sake: I was trying to get a van back onto the DB stage after driving it off before the DB. I didn't realize I had the minge wheel on, and it flew across the DB stage killing about 5.
I immediately apologized and made it clear it was an accident in OOC and to other rebels. I offered to repay for any personal resources lost but nobody took me up. Since it was ruled as the van, it was considered a World kill and not attributed to me preventing any faction resource loss.
