What is your suggestion?
A: shotgun attachments

How would this benefit the server?
A: unique? and fun additions to the gameplay with one of the most important weapons in FPSes

my two ideas for shotty attachments are Birdshot: makes it so its either 30x12 or 24-25x16 for TOZ/M870, 22x14 for Spas 12 and Saiga 12, and either 26x12 or 28x10 for VR80 and M26 Mass but it decreases accuracy altogether and maybe recoil as well for all the shotguns so that autos will still need a bit more effort if you want to keep on a target. the previous attempts of birdshot either made it an upgrade or just more inconsistent in most cases so I see this being fun but also an attachment that can be viable that exchanges control, consistency, and some range for more raw damage. (forgot to add but of course less mobility as well) the next thing I suggest is Choke: increases ADS accuracy by 20-30%? with a 3-4% mobility decrease, it takes up the slot for the laser sight attachment as you choose to either be more accurate with hipfire or with ADS.

i plan on making a suggestion on "fixing" TOZ/M870 later but it's late lol

I think this has been done? Id rather a choke system honestly.

i may be conflating another server that uses ammunition or RS2 though. Im leaning more towards chokes and in principle support for both. (i dont think both can be implimented)

I dislike shotguns being next to uslesss outside of arms reach and they should at least be useful for supressing at medium range so you dont just get shot to death by somone with a rifle easily. If shotgun classes dont get a pistol/SMG secondary in their class anyway.

I also dont know if chokes, or how many should or should not be unlockable, say open should help you in close range, modifed medium and full "long". Obviously with how shot is coded, full or modified would mean youd probbly one-2 shot people consistnelty IF your aim is true. (but if your up in their face, open should as well)

I dont know what base spread is currently, but i could see how full choke could be deemed "op" at close range if people are good at aiming.

If unlockable i think you should start with modifed and unlock either to "specilise" in either range.* If the devs cannot, or cannot be bothered to impliment all of them, you just NEED open, modified and full.

Again i support the in principle, details can be worked out.

*although, as long as the grind is reasonable i can see where starting with open could be argued, but i dont think this server would make the grind reasonable.

Chokes as far as I know hasn't been implemented but spread reducing attachments have been around for ages, birdshot has already appeared time to time in CVR soooooo

What the hell did you went on about chokes? I just want it so if you prefer to aim your shots with shotgun this can be done by equipping the choke, I didnt really think/care about the range

I dont know how to feel about birdshot, in all honesty. The MASS is already really freaking controllable and I don't think sacrificing damage for more of what's already good is worthwhile.
HOWEVER, the choke is something that sounds great! I've always found that hipfiring something doesn't exactly feel rewarding, and sometimes it gives the illusion of inconsistency. It'd be nice to have for those who'd prefer to line up their shots, rather than loosely aim them.

I forgot the supressors function in game was spread reduction (not what its for but hey ho, way too late in the grind to be effective)

Because id rather chokes, not shot. Im in major support for chokes, was going to put own reccomendation for chokes, i can see the argument for shot, but dont personally support it as much as chokes.

Just so we are on the same page, chokes exist to tighten shot (given open is none) thus increasing the range of the shot before it starts to spread. Its not about "aiming" its about range increasements. Id just support modualirty in choice, to give the player more control over it for what map is selected and their playstyle.

And i know frome xperience full choke can be deemed OP because at short ranges your egtting max damage from near all pellets near guranteed if your aim is true, if its not its harder to hit with them.

Im going to go in game and test the spread on what ever the SWORD get now, just to see where it stands.

I suggested the choke idea with the aiming idea as my primary focus?
I was thinking of making the choke and suppressor will make you achieve the same if not better amount of accuracy you'd get with laser sight and suppressor but when you ADS (Aim down sights)
The birdshot added is a attachment thats been in cvr from time to time and an idea I love in video games, I see birdshot being a easy unique attachment that can further differ from other "special" guns
And lastly ADSing in CQC and expecting to kill? You better be aiming the head as bodyshots/legs will mostly need another shot. Another thing i wanna emphasize i don't really want shotguns to do medium range great? Or want them have a possibility in long range at all, so I don't want a range increase stat added to the choke, I just want an ADS accuracy stat when you put it on. Last thing I have to add is if you're shotgun class struggling to use your shotty in open maps, I suggest sticking to a major CQC area part of the map or use a inventory weapon to try and alleviate some of the range encounters you'll run across.
