Warn/Ban Reason: Prop abuse. Violation of section D8: When building or moving a prop, if you or the prop you are holding gets shot, you must delete, freeze, or drop the prop.
Why should we remove warn/ban?:
I believe that inside of the first clip the prop was frozen immediately after combat engaged ^ compiling with the wording given above.
In the second provided clip similar to the first it was also frozen almost immediately after combat was ensued and then later no collided due to the fact the prop was intended to be a force field. (With the other side already having been prop blocked the base would have been illegal if I didn't no collide it. In Compliance of rule D4)
Regardless, in these clips even if I had the reaction time to freeze it instantaneously like the staff member who issued the warn might think I have; neither of these instances had any affect on the game play of others given the prop was already there. To my interpretation of this rule it is to prevent "Combat Building" similar to this clip: https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/...M3NjUzMjks| Not to force builders to delete props which were already there.
+1, unless evidence is being withheld I see no reason to call it combat building. Engineer classes are not omniscient - there is a delay to when you realize someone is indeed firing upon your props. The second clip seems iffy, but the first shot hits a prop, meaning it was likely out of render distance. In both cases there was an immediate attempt to freeze the prop in place and leave it alone, nothing that these were also long-distance engagements where nothing of significance would have occurred even if the accused had frozen the prop on the exact frame it was shot.
In the second clip, you are seen further adjusting the forcefield after it is being shot, even going so far as to pull out your toolgun to precision it.
Additionally, it is unclear to other players whether a forcefield is no-collided or not, especially if its being actively built. It is much safer just to remove it immediately after being shot.
