FULL RP Name(s): General of the Resistance Starr!!! | OTA SHIELD TR 09 7714 | OTA RANGER TR 09 7714 | SWORD Hono Starr What is your current IG level? 98 Discord Username: im_not_sterr Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:417990687 What region/timezone are you located in? USA EST Do you have a microphone? Yep Previous Warns? VoR | FailRP | x1 by Thunder (was 3 yrs ago don't remember what or why) Previous Bans? Nope Why do you want to be part of the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences. Any server needs staff, keep some stuff under control and enforce anything that people might be annoying about besides baseline rules like loopholes or mild spawncamping. Somehow I've made it this far with no ULX whatsoever, and I know what I've said, but I might as well help the server out while I'm here and hanging out with the community. Otherwise I feel like it'd be a nice change of pace as well for me so why not give it a shot again. Any staff who can vouch for you? Killing, Kena, Sanders, probably more unless I don't know them. An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do? I would enter the sit asking about sides of the story, start with the victim depending on who reports an RDM sit, then go with the suspect. If the UNION killed the civilian for no good reason you give a verbal or full warn revolving around whether the suspect blatantly intended to kill them or it was more accidental. After figuring out if the aggresor was either purposefully killing them or not would end the sit with the appropriate response. Somebody had made a ticket saying they passed Sniper applications and that they need it’s whitelist, how would you proceed? Check if there's any CO's on first, if there is none then basically give a swift TP and explaination of how they need to go about getting the training. If there is a CO on, I'd PM then or TP depending on if they're busy or AFK and see if the person was trained or not, if not, back to step 1. Once checked and approved by the CO that they did the app and were trained, then give them the WL. Given this all usually isn't needed as the proper jobs have the WLing power for the most part, and that the CO would make the sit if anything was needed, not the person being trained. An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member? While RP defects can happen with certain conditions, they need to be met, I'd keep connection with the HECU member and just make sure that the processes are gone through smoothly and there's nothing that pops up that can affect the players. A ticket alleging spawn-camp has been made, and the offending party is a member of cross who was found inside rebel spawn borders, what is the correct course of action? I would take the sit and handle the CROSS accordingly, let him know that scouting doesn't involve killing people, while scouting you are not to interact with anyone within the base borders. Then continue on as natural, if the CROSS unit is newer then I'd most likely let them off with a verbal, but if they are a more senior member then it would end in a warning as they should know the rules. You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this? Meh, I mean they can threaten all they want but the whole chain of events there simply goes through me just remaining professional and handling the sit accordingly to how I have to as staff. After the sit is handled I'd take a report to the CO's CoC and let them handle that wild can of beans, whether they actually do anything or not. A Grid has created a ball that he has encased himself in and is propelling himself forward using the gravity gun, is this breaking any rules? It is yea, building rules specifically, since it counts as a vehicle based on the fact that it can be moved. This could count as FailRP and/or RDM if he ended up killing anyone with it. A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do? Depending on my staff rank I'd either handle it myself or report it immediately to an appropriate staff member to handle. Most I can do during that time is just attempt to gag and mute if need be, other than that, it's more of a damage control waiting game. You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do? Ask other staff members, if it's against the rules then I'd get the evidence and report it to the higher ranking staff to deal with it properly. Out of nowhere a random set of numbers resembling an IP has been typed by an NCO has been typed into OOC, what is the correct course of action?
Same thing as the DDoS threats, given this is a more senior member of the server it was just have more steps to make sure we take the proper corrective actions to handle the situation. Make sure they understand that this kind of stuff is against the rules and that even if it's a joke it's not tolerated. Go through it calmly and see what the intentions were, depending on the attitude and overall reasons for the actions it would be handled relevant to the staff punishment guidelines.
Very valuable member of the community. He has done a lot for the DEFN community at large. I don't have any prior negative experience that would make me object to him being on the staff team.
