What is your suggestion? A: More melee weapons and mechanics. (workshop link above gives around 20 melee weapons, new mechanics, also includes the crowbar and stunstick to replace the half-life 2 ones you spawn with). Many of the melee weapons would be craftable, the smaller and weaker weapons such as a shiv would have a low carry weight and less materials to craft whilst the bigger and more powerful ones such as a katana or sledgehammer would have a higher carry weight and more materials to craft. It also has some upsides and downsides to the type of melee weapon you're using (its probably best the disarm mechanic is disabled if possible) such as sharp weapons like shivs and katana's making the opponent bleed etc... (You could probably hint what type of weapon and what its mechanic is in the description of the weapon!) Spamming left click wont do much good since now you'd need to charge and time your melee attacks by holding left click and releasing when you want to attack. Attack players from behind does some extra damage as well. Blocking by right click allows you to block incoming melee attacks deflecting it and giving valuable time to counter attack. Shoving with E+R allows you to counter people constantly holding right click by bringing down their guard giving you valuable time to get a good few hits in. The damage of the weapons will need to be buffed to match with the TTK changes made recently.
How would this benefit the server? A: Melee on the server is boring and is only good in very few circumstances. Brawler does help but its not enough. The addon I've linked would benefit melee as a whole since it introduces a whole new melee mechanics which in return gives melee a higher skill cap and viable in more circumstances. You need to decide what melee weapon fits your playstyle instead of just running at the enemy holding left click. It makes melee vs melee fights a lot more interesting then whoever has brawler wins. Brawler may need some tweaking if this were to get added however. Overall it makes melee more finished and interesting to play

Id love some more melee weapons, plus id like the fists we have to actually work with melee perks and maybe have em be part of the hands swep where it's a mode.
Not sure about this specific mod since it seems like it's not supported by the dev anymore but +1 to the overall idea of basic melee mechanics and more melee weapons
