Suggestion: Ping system rework

What is your suggestion?
A: Rework the Ping system with more contextual pings and reduce the ping cooldown
Pings can turn into more contextual information such as suggesting places to defend/attack, angles to watch or to reposition to a certain spot, as well as have an audio ping whenever your teammates pig somewhere (for combine it can be the metropolice radio sfx) as well as show them in squad chat within the in game text

You could also ping enemies where the ping would stick with the enemy until the enemy is out of sight which then it will be at their last position

(OPTIONAL) Pinging allies would also be good addition to draw attention towards specific units, or to warn other combine units on possible SU's, and if rebels can accurately ping on invisible MACE the cloak will go off.

How would this benefit the server?
A: for a long time the ping system was quite underused due to not many people using them a they don't really serve much purpose when the squad doesn't pay attention to them, this suggested rework would have squads pay more attention to what other see and able to communicate better without the need of using a microphone.

Optionally, it would also give proper counterplay to SU's and MACE units because SU's would be aware that someone is suspicious of them and will have to be more vigilant while MACE will have to be careful next to rebels so they don't get caught.

Overall this would give more uses to the ping system because what we have now is the most primitive version from any others I have seen in other games (portal 2 has a better ping system than what's in the server)

Doubt this’ll be implemented due to the short ttk and general arcade like gun play, not even going to mention its a “semi” serious RP TDM server. If the server was more tactical/slow then it might be (I’m not a developer so I have no clue) worked on.

I think you got something going with the idea that pings should be improved, however I dont think pings should act as counters to classes as they should be meant as an indicator rather than a new game mechanic(such as disabling MACE cloak), pings should definitely be optimized to be more useful than they are now but that shouldnt include "weaponizing" pings. Pings should be able to be used more and with more clarity, but shouldnt affect gameplay other than bringing attention to something

I think that is a better way to put your critics than what the previous two did, and yea looking at it now you are right, plus it would be a hell to code that, having to communicate from the client to the server and to the other client would cause perfomance issues overall.
