What is your suggestion? A: Sword could really do with some more hp, I say this after looking at sentry, as well. I may be new to sword but I've noticed this problem before I played it, I killed them often in 1v1 CQC, where sword SHOULD thrive, but looking at the stats, sword has 310hp, not a lot, with a close range shotgun, compared to Sentry with a defensive tool, 390hp, and a potentially long range high damage weapon. I understand they're very different classes in playstyle, but my point is sword is not nearly as tanky as they should be, especially since they have no tools. Right now it feels almost impossible to get positive KD as sword.
How would this benefit the server? A: Sword would win more CQC battles, as they should, and would be given more time to close the distance between snipers (which are everywhere on pretty much all of the maps nowadays) or even just regular units.
I'll admit 310 is not a lot but a flanking sword can and has decimated squads before, specially with the drum mags y'all get now, maybe +1 idk, they seem a lil squishy
+1, I do think SWORD needs something.
Before the weapon update, they had smoke grenades that allowed them to close those long distances, give good pushes, or even at least conceal their movement. Once the weapon update came out, they lost that utility and it felt like it left a hole in the class, those distances and pushes suddenly became impossible, making the class incredibly insufficient. I think the class deserves something because of that lost utility. It doesn't necessarily have to be more HP however, I think it would be better if they got more HUs.
I said HP because I figured it'd be nice to bring them out of the consistent 1-shot range from other shotgunner classes, like HECU, LVET Medic, or Engineer.
-1 After what I've seen today, I'd have to say, they have enough hp. A sword took a whole mag from SCAR and still didn't die. Wasn't just one single sword, many others too. Not to mention their guns are pretty strong.
Sword can really root out the enemies on a point, that is if they don't use guns like the ak or the scar, shield have effectively 450 iirc but only thanks to shield, a buff to sword would be great, but then again Viper (the creator of MWB) is dabbling around with grenades, and if sentinel brings them into the server, I hope the smoke for swords will be good enough to conceal his movement

After looking into it more, sentry is a bad comparison, and I also was wrong about the hp of sword, its not 310, its 300. I get destroyed by HECU all the time with their 400 hp, SAME movement speed, and innate multiple weapons, granted the shotgun is worse, but without armor they can still beat a sword in CQC, the main argument is the fact that sword lost their smoke grenades, and gained nothing, so until those grenades can get brought to the server I feel sword needs either a decent HP buff, OR perhaps movement speed buff, preferably HP.
