Why do you want to be part of the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences. Frankly I wish to be part of the definitive staff team on the CvR side of the community mainly because I'd wish to help out the staff team with some of my skills and previous experience in another community that I dare not to mention here due to possible advertising issues here. I am mostly a calm, composed and chill person in essence, I take my time whenever a staff situation needs to be dealt with, listen to each of the affected parties' stories and then form up a conclusive decision on the matter afterwards depending on the severity of the discrepancy; the decision, of course, being unbiased and as logical as possible. I rarely lose my cool in certain situations but I quickly calm down or perhaps recover in a few moments, the most amount of days I've spent calming down and recovering my cool is two days. I usually am hard to piss off, reason why I'm depicted as chill by others.
Why should you be accepted on the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences.
As stated above, I have previous experience regarding general administration and dealing with discrenpancies caused by players alike and I wish to help out the staff team as much as possible, even if I'll only be able to answer questions regarding to CvR rules and some background help or administering for the time being while I'm still in the UK and acquire myself a laptop powerful enough to handle Discord and Gmod, maximizing my effectiveness in both adminstrating and playing the server itself. How could I possibly bring more to the table rather than previous experience if that's what you're asking? Well, I could provide a player's POV about things that could affect the playerbase, such as whenever something may be removed or added, what could add to the factions themselves, how could they adapt to it? There are so many possibilities about such changes that I'm willing to give out whenever it's truly needed. Based on how I manage in the UK currently, my activity won't deviate from the usual schedule unless stated otherwise beforehand or via notifying the management staff about it if that were to be considered as private information and could be used as something against myself.
Do you understand that you must change your Steam name to "[DEFN] (Username)" upon getting accepted?: Absolutely.
References?: None, I'm applying to staff on my own.
An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do?:
First thing to do is bringing them both to a sit in a far away location, away from the actual fight, and ask each of them their side of the story, see if they have any proof of such and if it wasn't accidental, I'd ask for proof of such and if there is no proof of that, I'd ask about the witnesses. If the kill is deemed intentional, then it would be a warn for RDM after checking each of them about their warns. If it was accidental however, it will only be a verbal warning and no actual warn will be applied. If no proof and no witnesses are present to explain the situation in further detail, a verbal warning is the most I could do in this kind of situation.
An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member?
Firstly I would warn the HECU soldier for FailRP due to "RP defecting" not being a thing anymore, HOWEVER I wouldn't only notify other staff members about it, but this soldier's COs so they'll decide whether they'd demote him, kick him out, or worst case scenario: excommunication. After the warn has been set, I would teleport the HECU soldier back to the rebel base in order to avoid any PvP confrontation in the combine base.
You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this?
I would personally explain to the CO in question the difference between IC offences (the rp character demotion threat over OOC actions) and OOC offences (the rule breaking) and if he /she disregards all of that regardless, I would administer the warn for FailRP depending on the warns the CO in question has and notify his higher ups about the situation, with proof of course. I'd rather let his higher ups deal with him rather than the staff team.
A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do?
Normally I wouldn't take any chances and ban them immediately, however if they're joking about it, which they shouldn't be joking about a federal offense, I would ask other staff members other than myself to keep an extra eye around them and hold them at an arm's length just in case the threat actually is the real deal.
You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do
Personally, I would notify the definitive management about the high ranking staff member in question, what he/she is doing currently or will do or was doing, see if the staff member in question is doing something they shouldn't do and avoid unnecessary actions such as intervening myself or questioning the high ranking staff member myself as that will lead to more complications than they should be already.
+1 From me, very detailed application with understanding on how to deal with people breaking the rules, a very active and friendly player, never personally seen him to be toxic. oh yea and EOW gang bias
+1 i cant argue with this this is the best app yet.....however DDOS situation where it is a joke or not is a perma ban followed by an IP ban..Alert Senior Admin+ of this situation immediately
Thanks for the tip about the last question, I wasn't so sure how the threat is actually dealt with in here so I had to do a wild guess. Thanks regardless though
+1 Not everyone understands how serious DDos but that can be fixed. Besides that good application with very minor details missing. Looking forward to seeing you get accepted.
