Full RP Name(s):OTA-SH HIGHLANDER OfC-I Syrup What is your current in game level?:68 Discord Username:W0ofle Steam ID:STEAM_0:1:192129276 What region/timezone are you located in? CT Do you have a microphone? Yes Previous warns or bans? None Why do you want to be a Gamemaster? Mostly to have fun building and creating things for people to enjoy, but also to have something for people to do when there is little to nobody on. having games of just 3 Rebels and 10 combine can be more than boring. Being able to be a GM would hopefully lessen those moments. Have you ever been Event Staff/Gamemaster or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions and describe something notable you did in those positions. Yes For a roblox community However this was over 3 Years ago Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.:
Fine, I don't get angry over it. getting any feedback at all is needed for learning what to do and not to do. Feedback is important So getting upset over it is not needed. It is guaranteed that not everyone will enjoy what I do but Listening to those criticisms will help me gain the experience I need. While planning a server-wide event, you had another Gamemaster assisting you. Unfortunately, 5 minutes before the event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed? If possible ask other GMs to fill the spot/role, and If needed I would continue the event even if it may be a little more lackluster with just 1 gm, having to cancel it could have worse effects. While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react? Apologize in the server and explain the situation to admins.
Ask for feedback from other Gms/admins on how to properly experiment and if some Objects/NPCs and or tools need to be avoided. While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react? Work with it, maybe by destroying the computer the door opens anyway. or maybe the computer is sentient and start bargaining.
the last thing Would be to force the player how you want it to be played. While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation? I would cancel the event, afterwards ask the players as well as the CmD/MAJ about the event and what needs to be worked on, and why they disliked it. While you are hosting an event, you notice that the server starts to lag dramatically. What do you do? Remove The bad actors- Objects or Npcs using more than needed server resources. if this contiues maybe ask if the players would like to put the event on hold till a workaround is completed. Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is greatly appreciated.
1.Wildlife
Survival against a third party such as antlions.
The two teams (rebels, combine) will play as normally except there will only be 3 points/close together if possible. There will be the addition of the third team of antlions they will be a third team mostly comprised of npcs And if possible a few "Elites" which are just players using a pill pack version maybe with a recolor if possible.
a few thumpers will be placed in or around objs, the Idea is that a player may deactivate a thumper near a point so antlions can flood in and clear it. the antlions will also act as a nuisance since snipers and recon/flankers will have a harder time, However there is bug bait located in specific spots around the map with only a few in number and guarded to reward exploration. it would be a 30 min game, winner being The team who controlled the most points for the longest.
2.Hostage Rebels/Combine Will be able to switch spots in this game mode. that is to say either team can take either place.
The Combine/Rebels (we will do combine for this instance.) have Captured a Traitor lurking in their ranks and are currently holding them hostage at (x)point
He will need to be interrogated for rebel secrets/plans at HQ. A evac dropship is being delayed but will arrive in 15 mins (combine win).
A small strike team consisting of 3-8 people will be defending them as well as a possible OSS (if pop is high enough to warrant it).
The rebels will need to capture the hostage and deliver him to HQ while holding off combine Reinforcements. (rebel win).
If the Evac time is up rebels may choose to kill the hostage forcing a loss for both sides. (draw)
The combine may kill the hostage if they have lost control of the situation deem it to troublesome to Re-capture. (draw).
There are jammers located on points (Y) and (Z) capturing the points may increase or decrease the evac time.
If the Combine have captured a point Evac time is reduced by 3 mins.
If the rebels have captured a point Evac time is increased by 3 mins.
Fobs may not be placed on or near hostage point
Air vehicles are disabled during
Ground vehicles are good to go.
3. Iron (Low pop/High pop) A combine train has derailed and crashed in the middle of nowhere leaving combine goods up for grab.
A small combine team has been stranded with the train and has set up some small fortifications.
Rebels are closing in on the train for a chance at combine goodies.
Reinforcements are on the way steadily.
Obj: Defenders will need to hold out for 15 mins while rebels are attacking a stationary position.
Win conditions: Combine held out for 15 mins and reinforcements arrived forcing a rebel retreat (combine win)
Rebels have taken over the small fort as well as train and have accesses to combine goodies (rebel win)
Combine team will be given 5 mins to prepare a fortifications as well as fobs in or near the train site.
No air support from either team
Rebels may use Apcs
no other ground support from either team
No OSS/EOD unless given permission from GM.
IF low pop either team can have NPC's depending on number difference. Do you understand the basics of using ULX and how to build in gmod?: I have little to no Experience Using ULX but I will be more than willing to practice.
Great App, really like some of these ideas and I think if fleshed out properly could be great fun to play! Please contact me (maple_mate) or another HGM on discord so that we may get you processed.
