Remove Beta-Works from the pool and replace it with another.

How about that snow map with the 2 big hills in the middle and the train tracks everywhere? (I don't know what it's called)

Doesnt have a hl2 theme, content too large in size, cqc is all in one area

It is outlands bro, also I hate this betaworks map, too laggy and low fps.

The sand on betaworks is a massive annoyance. Both still causes a hit to FPS, and also means a lot of the time you get killed seemingly out of nowhere as someone opened up on your vague outline. However without the sand it'd just be a sniper fest.

I would like to note that about half the reason for low FPS on betaworks is the sheer quantity of permaprops. The fog doesn't help, but what it DOES do is stop you from actually seeing just how many there are.

Coincidentally, the largest concentration of permaprops also happens to be in the foggy area, so whenever you look towards the fog you also see all the props.

How about defn_main? Crop the map a little and you get a nice city map with good verticality, some free space for event stuff, and a ton of areas for potential FOBs and bridges

Having any map over betaworks would be a very welcome change to most players, I’ll accredit that due to the abysmal performance betaworks has, even when the server isn’t full.
The gameplay is not something I’m going to argue as a make or break for switching up maps but I GUARANTEE you, if you ask 9/10 players they will tell you betaworks is the least fun of the maps.
I don’t know how to pin it down on what exactly makes it “not fun” but it could just be the lack of expanse and range of motion you can work with on the map.

I have other maps that I prefer over betaworks of course (I love you defn_main) but really anything that can alleviate the performance issue (reliance on permaprops) and is a tad more fun for everyone would be preferable.

Unpopular opinion : defn_main was my favorite map, maybe its because I'm weak to snowy forest maps but it was the most fun map to play on, it made me sad that many people complained about it, I would LOVE to see it return.

Ive started playing cvr while it was on defn_main and i must say that out of all of the maps ive seen main was the most balanced and fun one. There is so much variety in this map, you could sneak between the buildings as a shotgunner or sit on the roofs or outside the city as a sniper, hold and assault other building in the city as a rifleman... Its the best map
