I remember defn_main as a bit of a sniper hell, especially if you were in the outskirts of the city. The middle points were fun to fight over and defend, but the outer points were more of a choir to maintain ownership of. It also had crappy roads for vehicles to drive on.
I'd prefer it over Beta Works.

This is why Sentinel won't listen to us
The point isn’t just “add defn_main” it’s to replace betaworks with something else, defn_main could be substituted for any other map and the main point would remain the same.

In that case, yes.
Main would be a far better substitute for betaworks due to a more interesting layout, better bases (and borders for that matter), and way less permaprops would be needed for balancing or design.
it would still have some obvious advantages to snipers but keyword “obvious”, depending on how vehicles are deployed and how people utilize flanks, it shouldn’t be as much of an issue as betaworks was/is.
Not to mention when defn_main was in use it was
Enduring the time when CvR had one map for MONTHS on end.
(I think it was also used for when we first introduced the daily map resets but I really don’t remember, regardless it only included 1-2 maps at the time if it did.
Which would flow COMPLETELY differently then the map pool does now (along with all the other changes between then and now.)

NPU cells aren’t insane and PC office is small but that can be explained by it being an outpost (Campaign so coooool).
